Seriously we need to put together a "community organizer" ad
It could be done quickly with stock footage of great organizers jusxtaposed with Rudi's and Sara's attacks tonight, with a "Stand by Me" kinda soundtrack.

It would be very effective.

Hopefully someone in the Obama camp is putting it together now. If they're not, we need a viral video by Friday.

4. Let me get this straight..
They dont like to help the needy through government funds? And they dont like people or groups that help the needy ie.. kids/abused/elderly etc..privately funded??

These are some truly screwed up uppity people?

I am so grateful to be a dem.
So sad that there are republicans that think like that that we have to go against.. It should just be human nature to want to help those that truly need it.. Ugh..

6. NO NO A THOUSAND TIMES NO!!!!!!!!!!!
We want to win. Winners don't circle the wagons and go on the defensive over a childish comment in a mediocre red meat speech. Sarah Palin has reinvented herself as a bulldog precisely because she is the weak link in the ticket and her and McSame don't want us attacking their weak link. This speech and this new strategy is a sign of desperation, and we need to do everything we can to keep THEM on the defensive!!

8. That's not defensive.... saying "Jesus was a community organizer" is an OFFENSIVE tactic...

Right to their chin.

They're the bible-thumpers. It will thump them upside the head with their own hypocrisy.

9. It is responding to their attacks.
We win when they have to spend all day responding to OUR attacks.

Jesus wouldn't win an American election, I'm sorry to say.

11. Different Jesus.
The one I grew up with preached that we should love our neighbors and turn the other cheek. Also, they stole 2000 and 2004. Also, McCain is no Ronald Reagan.

Pandering to the fundies just wastes money and disrupts our base. They will never vote for a Democrat, because they honestly believe that doing so would cause them to go to hell. You can't use logic against a bunch of superstitious simpletons.

I agree with the sentiment, but once we start defending, they'll attack, attack, attack until November, and we'll be seen as a bunch of wimps. We need to keep John McCain and Sarah Palin hiding from the media, not popping out and piling on whenever we "debunk" smears like a bunch of debate club rejects.
