and that her putting community activism down is going to come back and bite her in the ass.

He believes that the media is going to take her down bit by bit.

My husband is a Minister. That's part of what they do.

2. He just said that wasn't something she should have done.
Community organizing means a lot of things, including something as small as neighborhood watches, etc....

3. Exactly. That's actually 55% of what they do.
I worked for a church with non-profits. Man, you don't put down community activism. That's just fucked up. They have advanced and changed the laws of this nation to recognize the people who were suffering unjustly through oppressive acts.

Her own child will be needing the aid and support of people who work in those organizations taht depend on funding and she goes on stage and slaps it in the face. She will most definitely pay for that.

Enjoy your stay.

8. Yeah, that was a complete fuck up on the GOP's part
Not only do they show their contempt for actual communities but they show their hands in how fucking little they just don't care about the country-- as long as they get to win. But as people who've already known the bitter bitter taste of a country that has had 2 Republican victories in 2000 and 2004, Pyrrhic victories are NOT what we are seeking as Americans.

9. She certainly seems to have no empathy for any one or any species
that I can tell. She's just a mean woman with a pretty face.

12. It was nonsensically vicious
It was empty of real content, like her line about "what will Barack Obama do, after he turns back the waters and heals the planet? He'll raise our taxes, expand the size of government, and make us weaker in a very dangerous time" (that's not an exact quote but it went something like that).

It was tough all right. It was barracuda-like and pit bull like. But did it really make sense? Her speech sounded like a talk show caller, going on a long rant with a string of complaints where the talk show host lets the caller go on and on without stopping.

I thought this speech was supposed to introduce herself to America. Instead, it was a list of GOP talking points. I thought this speech was supposed to give her the opportunity to describe her accomplishments. She gave more of the empty "reformer" rhetoric without giving even one specific example of what she did (unless you consider selling the jet on ebay and firing the cook as examples of important achievements as Governor).

I wonder how they feel about her statements?
