As expected they are using the free primetime airtime to trash Obama and the Democrats. And we can expect the same tomorrow night. Contrast this to the Democratic convention.

However, once all this is done and Obama is back in the media, things will be totally different. I believe our wave will rise once again just as it has for the past, oh 18 months or so? I think the defining moment will come Oct. 2 during the VP debate. Palin still has a lot of problems that are following her around.

It's good to be cautious, and watching tonight, we as Democrats know just what is possible out of this GOP ticket. We relax during the weekend and go full speed ahead starting Monday.

i'm more worried about them stealing it than the shithead from AK's speech. I do believe that a lot of people will see her as a hateful, sarcastic (put any number of rude words here). Yeah, whatever. If we're lucky, she'll keep twisting like a beheaded snake for another week or ten days before she gets dumped for someone with a real resume. If we're spectacularly lucky, they'll keep her and sink the whole ticket.

Remember that her purpose on the ticket isn't to get actual votes, it's to excuse actual votes for Obama which are stolen by the Republicans. If they're gonna steal it, they're gonna steal it, and once it's stolen they'll tell you any damned thing they please. So it doesn't much matter whether Palin survives or not.
