listen to more than about 4 minutes of the R's convention at a stretch. I don't have a television, and none of the streaming coverage seems to be worth much, so I tried to listen to a radio broadcast of the speeches. I couldn't last more than about 4 minutes before having to turn it off and rest for 15 or 20. Then I turned it back on, but, once again, 4 minutes and it was all I could take.

Does this make me a bad person? Do I lack courage? Compassion? Perspective?

I'm going to read a book, or maybe do laundry.

I'm listening via an Air America broadcast (David Bender and Ron Reagan). They play bits of the speeches and then comment and kibbitz about the repukes' attempts at speechifying.
