GALLUP NEWS SERVICE

PRINCETON, NJ -- Despite extensive publicity given to attack ads that criticize Democratic candidate John Kerry's service in Vietnam, a new CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll finds no change in voter preferences. President George W. Bush receives 50% support among likely voters, compared with Kerry's 47% -- identical to results in a similar poll two weeks ago. Among registered voters, the race remains a virtual tie

1. "Likely voters" in Gallup polling methodology
is a category heavily weighted toward Repugs, so in reality, Kerry is probably actually leading despite the Smearboat ads. In any case, he seems not to have lost ground

Right now, though, the polls seem to be all over the map & are generally best ignored.

2. These are 'feel good' results - they are concocted to make.
* and * lovers pumped up going into the convention.

The emerpor has no clothes.

What was the ratio of Boston protesters verus New York?

What was the ratio of * supporters today versus protesters?

How many people in your circle of contacts do you speak to that say they are voting for *? Excluding hard core pockets of citizens.
