McCain Camp Levels Charges Of Sexism

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/09/02/mccain-camp-levels-charge_n_123257.html

"In a comment sent out by the Arizona Republican's aides, adviser Carly Fiorina said she was "appalled by the Obama campaign's attempts to belittle Governor Sarah Palin's experience. The facts are that Sarah Palin has made more executive decisions as a Mayor and Governor than Barack Obama has made in his life. Because of Hillary Clinton's historic run for the Presidency and the treatment she received, American women are more highly tuned than ever to recognize and decry sexism in all its forms. They will not tolerate sexist treatment of Governor Palin."

As evidence, Fiorina pointed to comments from Joe Biden calling Palin "good looking" and Obama comparing his campaign staff to the "50 employees" under Palin's control as mayor of Wasilla, Alaska."

So does this make Palin the whiner, or Fiorina the whiner? Obama takes the high road over the weekend, and defends Palin and her family. He then gets hit with false charges of sexism. I expect that any criticism he or Biden make will bring screams of sexism. This is all they have left.

3. So...saying that she had 50 employees is sexist?
This is why we shouldn't worry about "backlash." They'll say the same shit whether Obama took the high road (as he did) or the low road.

4. Whenever the 'executive experience' charge is leveled, ask them if they think she is more qualified
than McCain.

Then enjoy the crickets.

28. Please don't put HP down at Carly's level
I was an employee there under the Wicked Witch's... leadership... there.

HP is a great and wonderful company, and it's done more for me during my childhood (dad works there) and adulthood than my parents have.

That said, I can't complain about Carly taking a front stage role in Mc*'s campaign. Engineers are traditionally conservative, and it has them looking at Obama. I work with about 100 ex-HP guys (Carly sold us off), and I'm surprised at the more liberal bent at work this election cycle.

It is quite obvious these people have no clue whatsoever what sexism really is.

Now it looks they are trying to manipulate the press to their advantage. McCain's campaign and the republicans are a national disgrace. To say Palin has more experience than Obama is insulting.

my response? guess what? this isn't affirmative action for women. Your candidate isn't as qualified as Hillary Clinton. Hillary ran on her qualifications and your candidate needs to do the same.

sexism indeed.

Carly, are you a woman or the daughter of two ugly lesbians? Oh, wait-- that is your party's joke about Chelsea Clinton. Right. Because you guys are the GOOD guys. so hard to keep up.

They have been ITCHING to use the sexism card! Several McCain campaign advisors have been leveling that charge when asked questions that would have been asked of ANY candidate, male or female. And we all remember how someone accused JAMES CARVILLE of sexism last night, and he said "excuse me. I supported a woman for president of the United States."

I hope that Biden fucking rips her to shreds in the debates, oh yeah, and Carly can rot in the hottest fires of hell.
