TPM: Palin deposition being scheduled. Likely to be deposed **under oath**
Deposition

The Alaska special investigator on the Trooper-gate case is currently in contact with Gov. Palin and they are scheduling her deposition. According to our report, it will likely take place in the next few weeks and will almost certainly be under oath.

1. Think she'll go for "executive privilege"?

4. THis is the pressing reason to have hired a private attorney....
ONce placed under oath anything she states which is proven untrue will cook her goose.

I am thinking the Private Attorney will run interference for her by advising her not to answer questions, and then he will take the fall later for giving her that advice.

IF she answers those questions she will likely be off the ticket almost immediately. IF she can keep the issues murky by refusing to answer the questions, she can hope to stay on until election day.

5. You think she can politically survive if she declines to answer?
Count me skeptical...

6. Her hold card is to follow her lawyer's advice. ....
And he is advising her to do so because they have not yet finished their own investigation.

Answer to your question: NO, I think she will be gone soon --a mere trivial pursuit answer.
