It's obvious that, given the Republicans' history and attitudes, that they're not exactly woman friendly and that having a female on the ticket was not a priority for the party until they thought that Hillary's female supporters were in play.
This cynical, manipulative move might have been a good idea a few days ago, but given Hillary's amazing speech the other night, followed by Bill's brilliant endorsement - not to mention Barack's out-of-the-stratosphere speech last night - isn't there very little liklihood that Hillary's supporters will march over to McCain?
Maybe if he had done this a week ago, it might have been a smart move. But I think he's a few days too late to get over with such a move.
