MSNBC: NOT ROMNEY, NOT HUCKABEE, Most Likely Pawlenty!
Edited on Thu Aug-28-08 11:58 PM by berni_mccoy
Laura O'Donnell just went through saying Huckabee is not travelling to Ohio and neither is Romney.

KO said if it's NOT Pawlenty, there will be serious egg on someone's face!

I'm still hoping it's LIEberman... but most likely it's Pawlenty.

5. And the asshole has been proud of his "fiscal responsibility."
I'll bet he was real proud after the I-35 disaster.

(It was the only news they had on at Humperdink's tonight...)

7. Huckabee could assuage fears of Evangelicals.
But underneath that "ahh shucks" charm of his is an absolute fucking nut.

13. ITA
Although....he was the one that I feared would win the Pube nomination this time.

That "Awe Shucks" thing has some serious mileage.

Plus he is from Hope, AR.

Pray he stays on Faux.

17. I honestly don't think that it is Romney or Pawlenty
Too predicatable.

The only 'joker' left in McCain's deck is a VP pick that shocks people.

The boring ass Governor from the State where the Convention is not shocking.

19. Given the Huckster's abbility to draw Evangelicals he was always a concern for me.
And he certainly would be a surprise.

I just hope McCain takes a more predictable route.

to watch.

Then again, maybe not *too* painful after watching him try to ruin Minnesota.

Why does the GOP treat failure as some kind of virtue? Why are the biggest failures paid so much?

15. The OH connection?
Nah...

M.C. Cane is not thinking 4 years ago.

Ohio is not a "battleground" state this year.

The real battles will be fought in Georgia, Virginia, Colorado, and Missouri.

(The VP Pick is Jim Tallent. Shhhhhhhhh)

29. They might roll the dice with Huckabee
but the fiscals over there despise him with more passion than the theocrat crew have for a pro-choice candidate. He's pretty populist economically and they'd be hard pressed to risk him in there with McCain at 72.

I'd see it as a balls to wall move on the GOP's part. Way more so than a Condi pick, at least they know they can count on her to be an economy destroying war monger.

Huckabee is a formidable piece to put on the board but would show the Republicans have crapped their pants and are very desperate to hang on at all cost.
Pawlenty is nearly a white flag.

31. Whitman or Fiorina
McCain will be pick a woman. He doesn't have anyone in his camp that can win a debate with Joe Biden. Putting a woman up against Biden will score some sympathy points.
