If you are a PUMA and still posting here at DU - might I say a few things!
Edited on Thu Aug-28-08 12:27 PM by LynneSin
#1) You are NOT a Hillary supporter. If you were, you would have actually listened to both Hillary and Bill state that all of her supporters should support Obama. Not sure what part of that PUMAs don't understand but if you don't want to support Hillary in the one request she asks of you then you can hardly call yourself a 'Hillary Supporter'

#2) You are NOT a democrat. A democrat recognizes that there are clear differences between a democrat and a republican. Sure, McCain has bucked partyline a few time in his career but is a republican who votes 10% of time with the democratic party a better choice that a democrat who votes 90% of the time with the values that we support. This is not a gamble where you go with the longshot. Odds are that Obama will do less to piss us democrats off for the next 4 years than McCain will

#3) You are not someone who has a clear understanding at what is at stake if we continue with more of McSame. We are currently 4-4-1 in the Supreme Court with Anthony Kennedy being the swing vote moderate. If you think John McCain is old then that makes John Paul Stevens (88) and Ruth Bader Ginsberg (75) really old and since both of them are liberal. We desperately need a president who will replace them with judges of similar style. I mean just because Clarence Thomas is African-American doesn't make him half the man to fill the shoes of the late great Thurgood Marshall. Speaking of which the other 2 democrats and one moderate (who supports RoeVWade) are all ages 68 or older. If you are PUMA and think it's ok to not support Obama then clearly you also do not support a woman's right to choose since your actions will turn our courts over to the republicans. It took the republicans & fundies 35 years to finally get the court needed to overturn RoeVWade - do our children and grandchildren have 35 years to wait again for us to fix it?

15. "Obamites, Obamites, blah blah blah..."
That was the extent of about everything he posted during the primaries. DU is better off without having that creep here.

8. Not very smart ones either. Everytime I hear someone say "Obama has no plan", millions of people
must be wondering "Haven't you ever heard of the internet?" Even if they haven't been there, folks in general know that there IS something called obama.com

9. Yes indeed
PUMAs were bought, paid for, produced and presented by the RNC. No real Democrats were a part of this ginned-up media hoax.

I've seen a couple of those today, as well.

12. As a woman it just makes *no* sense to support McPOW
You can say many things about Shrub, and we all have, but his disrespect for women is nothing compared to the loathing it seems McPOW has for us.

This is not a man who has any woman's best interest at heart and if this primary season has taught women anything, it's that we are important to the political process—we can no longer be ignored as a demographic.

How any woman can even fathom voting against their own self-interest is beyond me (and I'm not just referring to R v. W). Do these women really want to cast a vote for someone who voted *against* the 1994 Violence Against Women Act. It just doesn't make a damn bit of sense.

convincing themselves they are a Dem, but it isn't the case.

if that's not the case why havent the media found any during the convention. The one "debbie" doesnt count. She was a stripped Hillary delegate.

28. And if you are an Obama supporter, will you PLEASE, for the love of God
and every angel in heaven, STOP bashing the Clintons and telling those of us who supported them
that we are fools?

Will you PLEASE stop?!?

Will you leave us alone?!? Can we be allowed, PLEASE, to observe this process in peace and be
given the right to express our views without being treated like trash??
