24. Yeah--ABC had "Supernanny," and NBC had "America's Got Talent."
I didn't see what CBS was carrying, but I know it wasn't the speech, becuase I was looking for it.

They didn't want to remind America of what Bill Clinton could do--and what he did as president. They wanted America to forget what our country was like during Clinton's presidency, compared to waht it is like under Cheney-Bush.

5. It's been that way since 2000
That's when they started cutting it down to an hour each night. His slot didn't fall within their 1 hour of live coverage. It will be the same next week for the Repugs...an hour of live per night on ABC,CBS and NBC

40. that's real nice. i don't call people names, and I expect the same courtesy in return.
You may have a different idea than i do, but that does not make me an 'asshole'. It's called respect. Perhaps you should learn to show some of that to others.

Edited on Wed Aug-27-08 08:51 PM by tblue37
all three of them gave A+ speeches. If the American people are allowed to hear them they, will be powerfully moved. Unfortnately, most Americans won't seek out what the main networks don't show.

13. They will.
The networks don't go live until 8:00 MST, about a half hour before Biden gives his speech. They'll almost certainly cover Clinton's speech then.

32. CBS is showing a replay right now in the West
At 7 PM. I think their coverage just came on and they led with Clinton's speech.

It's even more impressive the second time. Anyone who posted Kerry's speech was better has got to be kidding.

37. I'm guessing most people saw it on C-Span, PBS or the News channels
Keep in mind that people don't need to tune into the three main networks to get their news any longer. I would also venture a guess that lots and lots of American's have, at the least, basic cable. It's not surprising that they aren't showing the coverage on those channels.
