Silverspooner speaks: Romney: Democrats using 'politics of envy'
Edited on Wed Aug-27-08 07:34 PM by DogPoundPup
Potential vice presidential nominee Mitt Romney says Democrats are playing "the politics of envy" in recent ads and speeches that focus on John McCain's wealth and multiple homes.

McCain's former rival for the Republican presidential nomination says voters have not rejected past candidates because of their wealth. He suggested Democratic nominee Barack Obama was resorting to divisive politics.

Democrats were using "the politics of jealously or envy or a sense that somehow we're going to be less likely to vote for someone because they've achieved economic success."

Romney, a multimillionaire, made the comments Wednesday before speaking at a McCain rally.

1. We're not playing the "rich" card,
we're pointing out that McCain played the "stupid" card.

3. "achieved economic success"?
If you call cheating on and dumping your wife to marry an heiress 'achieving economic success', then I hope I'll never be that 'successful'.

4. I spotted that, too.
Romney does not seem that intelligent to me. How did he get so rich?

8. Gotta love the double-standard!
When we point out how many homes they own (even when they don't know how many), we're "envious".

When they point out how many we own, we're "elitist".

You can't argue with congenitally dishonest pieces of shit like Republicans.

10. Way to twist it, Romney. It is about a guy who says the economy is fundamentally sound not knowing
how many houses he has.
