with an old tarp as backdrop.

after all... that would be uniquely American. Making shit out of cast-off tires.

You could throw in some old couches too.

Or maybe use some of those fire-trap trailers from Katrina.

Or maybe cardboard boxes to highlight the recycling theme.

1. The only way to talk about this is with EXTREME snarkiness.....

Truth be told: It's a good set and it will look great on TV.

If Joe Scarborough has a problem with it, then it's downright perfect.

4. I saw the walk through...

what were they thinking? Roman columns... they look pretentious and out of touch.

It's great for our older civic buildings... like the capitol, many state capitols, but as a stage set for a presidential nomination... they look silly. Better would have been a simple stage with a rear projection backdrop.

7. A) Wait until it is finished... B) Wait until you see how cool it looks on TV

...right after they show the clips from MLK's "I Have a Dream" speech... in which he's talking in front of.... you guessed it... columns.

11. OK, I'll wait...
I only saw a prelim walk through while it was being built.

I will keep my fingers crossed that when finished, with night time lighting, it will look great and not like Obama is addressing the crowds outside the imperial senate while being named emperor.

16. I do not understand the criticism by the idiots in the MSM

Designed to resemble the Lincoln Memorial where MLK gave his "I Have a Dream" speech

Anniversary of the MLK "I Have a Dream" speech

First African American Presidential nominee

MSM and republicans are idiots if they do not understand history

5. Why don't we stack the stage high with corrupt cable tv pundits
on the massive take from republican slimemerchants and ratfuckers.

How much are they paying you Joe?

8. A friend of mine bought a five acre parcel that has been used as
a tire dump. He read a book and then built a house (into a hillside) using tires much as you would lay cinderblocks. They're filled solid with dirt, great insulation, and when it was done Had three foot thick smooth walls inside and out. Way cool.
