Consultant who quit McCain campaign to help Cindy McCain with her speech

Wanna bet she knows she can't live up to Michelle Obama's speech and now is begging to have someone write the speech FOR her??

Cindy McCain is getting some help with her GOP convention speech from President Bush’s media chief Mark McKinnon, even though he dropped out of his formal role with John McCain’s campaign.

Mr. McKinnon, an Austin-based consultant, made a ripple when he quit as Mr. McCain’s media and advertising man because he did not want to work against Barack Obama and would not be the “tip of the spear” in attacking him.

He had said he preferred to sit on the sidelines, although he would be voting and actively supporting Mr. McCain.

On Tuesday, Mr. McKinnon said that his decision to round up writers, polish up the speech and help Mrs. McCain prepare is due to his friendship with the McCains.
