We better see some vicious attacks tonight.
No more Mr. Nice Guy. Nice guys finish last.

The pundits are right. We wasted day one of the convention by failing to attack McCain.

Lovefests are nice, but they don't win elections. It's time to go negative. I know that everyone's sick of attack ads and think we're "sinking to their level," but the reason we see them is because THEY WORK!

We can't afford to be "better" than them. We tried that in 2004. Look where it got us.

We have to be vicious. We have to be ruthless. We must show absolutely no mercy, or compassion, or pity - it's seen as weakness.

To hell with it. Jangle those keys, and let's see if McBush wigs out. Most of the LIV voters will see that and cry "HOOOOOEY! THEM DEMS SURE HAVE SOME BALLS! I'M VOTIN' FER THEM THIS YEAR!!!"

Don't even think of McCain as a human being. Just destroy him. That's all the repukes deserve.

6. He certainly was. But Dennis wasn't shown by the same networks who played Carville.
I wonder if that was absorbed as well.

7. So far Kucinich is the only one so far with enough "fire" to make me take notice.
TV's in the other room (on loud) and I only go in there when I hear something firey. Some of the speakers sound like Ben Stein. I think Janet Napolitano's speaking tonight. She's got some piss and vinegar in her. We'll see.

10. Finally switched to C-SPAN.
Even with Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow on MSNBC, it's damned difficult to sift through the bullshit spewed out by Scarborough, Buchanan and all the other rethugs. Especially since they spend more time broadcasting the pabulum from the bobbleheads than they spend on the convention itself.

16. It really is a totally different reality...
for me. One makes me a raving lunatic, while the other is quite enjoyable. After it's over the soap operas will still be there pimping their shtick, but the Democratic Convention won't be.

11. I kinda wish we had a feistier keynoter than Mark Warner
who is a "third way," conciliatory, reach-across and compromise type...

But I'm sure Biden will be plenty feisty tomorrow!

13. So far, I haven't heard one attack on McCain.
Oh, "his tax plan will give breaks to the corporations" but that's it. Not one attack on the man's character.

Every single Republican convention speaker will continually assault Obama's character, so I kind of wish there was some of that. The Republicans will say Obama's plan is bad for you because Obama is a liar and a commie. They don't play the same game as the Democrats do.

14. I'm waiting to hear the words...
necon, greed, corruption, treason, and imprisonment in the same paragraph. Last night some here said I wouldn't hear them because we usually take the high road. I say fuck that shit. This country has an infected wound of fascist greed and corruption and the only way to heal it is to lance it open, squeeze the shit out and spread some sun shine on it.
