Springsteen, Bon Jovi to perform at DNC
DENVER, Aug. 26 (UPI) -- Jon Bon Jovi and Bruce Springsteen are set to perform around likely Democratic Party nominee for U.S. president Barack Obama's acceptance speech, sources say.

Citing unnamed multiple sources, the Rocky Mountain News reported Tuesday that Bon Jovi will perform two acoustic songs before Obama, a U.S. senator from Illinois, makes his acceptance speech Thursday during the closing night of the Democratic National Convention. The speech is to be at Denver's Invesco Field at Mile High Stadium.

Springsteen has reportedly agreed to perform solo acoustic number after the speech to close out the night. The Rocky Mountain News said Nils Lofgren, a member of Springsteen's E Street Band, had earlier confirmed that backing group wouldn't be at Denver for the convention.

Who will McCain have .... ABBA?

4. ABBA is from Sweden
the Swedes hate Republicans.

He'd have to resurrect Frank Sinatra. Come to think of it, one corpse feting another. Why not?

5. Word is now that this isn't happening.
Would love to see it. But I don't think it will happen. Makes no sense anyway for Bruce to come out after the speech and confetti and cheering. Total anticlimax.

7. Yeah AP - but "citing unnamed multiple sources,"
So - who knows...quoting Nils makes it sound a bit deductive...

13. Correct. It's not happening.
Bon Jovi is holding a private party to raise $$$ for the NJ Dem party. Somewhere around $28k/person to get in.

Bruce will also be staying away. No idea what he'll be doing.

Heard this on WDHA this morning.
