She really is a poor speaker. In fact, we don't realize what a plus it is that Barack Obama can speak so engagingly, since most of the speakers thus far have almost put me to sleep. It is a feat to be able to engage an audience. I should be immune to this by now. I grew up in the Mormon church, where droning speakers over the course of 2 hour services were the norm. Thank god there's no organ music at the DNC. I'd start having PTSD.

Most of the convention-goers are probably out eating dinner, and the arena is mostly empty. What Pelosi is doing is killing time. In another hour you'll notice a difference in the atmosphere of the crowd.
