There's No Split in the Democratic Party Like There Is in the Republican Party...
Having 'used' the far right conservative fundamentalists to gain office and then laugh at them in private, there is a tremendous split in the Republican Party. They either have to bow to religious right leaders are risk them not showing up to vote on election day --which would mean certain defeat.

The MSM would like to cover a 'civil war' within the Democratic Party, but it just is not there. The unifying force remains George W. Bush and the Republican Party which has made a joke of the rule of law, lied us into war, and destroyed our economy to enrich their friends and themselves.

Come Nov Election Day there won't be any 'split' within the Democratic Party that causes true Democrats to vote for McCain.

3. McCain has to maintain a very, very, very delicate balance at the RNC--
he has to draw independent voters in while staying true to GWB's agenda and pandering to the war wing and the fundies.

I don't think it's possible for him to do both. But it might be amusing to watch him try.

5. Republicans are much more disciplined than Democrats.
Sad to say, but the Republicans have already lined up behind McCain to the tune of 90%.

The Republican party elders would never have coddled the PUMA crybabies and losers the way the Democrats have.
