TV One will provide coverage of the National Democratic Convention, and I will watch it there.

TV One to cover Democratic convention -- but not Republican
TCA -- Given Barack Obama's historic run for the Oval Office, African American-themed cable network TV One plans to break from its usual entertainment programming to provide extensive coverage of the Democratic National Convention in August.

First I turned on CNN, and they were discussing the "Hillary" problem, saying that McCain was busy dividing up the Democrats. You could see the look in that creep Bill Schneider's eyes when he said it. In my mind I was thinking, yeah....more like the media's been at that for months!

So after watching CNN for 1 minute, I switched to MSNBC....and
after watching only 5 excrutiating minutes of MSNBC, they made my decision for me.

First, Chris Matthews again ran a free McCain Anti-Obama commercial (I switched the channel, as I have still not seen any of the Anti-Obama McCain Ads, but not from lack of not trying)--So then, I switched back a few minutes later, and there was Pat Buchanan (why is he there?) and Tweety and Eugene Robinson discussing Hillary for the entire segement, and acting as though Obama hadn't already made his decision on his running mate.

Look, I don't really care what y'all do, but I'll be damned if I become the slave of these news organization who couldn't give a shit about me, and really doesn't give a damn about the Democratic party. They are not getting my viewing, nor my support. And most of all, I will refrain posting onto this site every fucking thing they say.....cause they will not be playing me; not today, not tomorrow, and not ever.

3. Yep. CNN and MSNBC can kiss my ass.
I don't care if KO and Rachel are on there......if the douchebags that make up the rest of the MSNBC line up will be there too. :eyes:

5. I Thought Matthews Was Good Today
Edited on Sun Aug-24-08 05:20 PM by otohara
There was plenty of Obama talk - Pat, Eugene - this is there job. Hillary meeting with delegates, they had to discuss her.

I liked seeing Luke Russert - the David Shuster report on 1968 Dem Convention was awesome.

I'll watch CSPan or Dish Network has channel 211 - live feed and MSNBC.

7. Perhaps my problem is that I don't like being tortured while I wait......
so 5 minutes is all they had to show me what they were going to do over at MSNBC, and they did.

Its their tough luck if the 5 minutes I watched were not representative of the rest of the programming.....

9. Another CSpan watcher!!
I'm gonna be watching the convention on Cspan too. Although this is probably out of necessity since I don't have cable TV at all. I kinda wish I could have some commentary if I wished to but for the most part, I am content to just watch the event live, unfiltered.

12. What I like about CPAN is
there isn't the voice-over nonstop commentary, although I don't know if they'll not have commentary for the Convention. I'll be channel hopping, though.

The Complete Democratic National Convention -- LIVE on C-SPAN

Next Monday through Thursday, turn to C-SPAN for 24-hour political coverage through
the four days of the Democratic National Convention. Start your day with Washington
Journal, our signature call-in program, live from Denver, 7 - 10 am ET. In the evening,
watch C-SPAN's distinctive no-commentary, non-commercial, gavel-to-gavel coverage
of the convention itself.

On C-SPAN2, every evening, 8 - 11 pm ET, we present highlights from the day in politics.
Our signature call-ins create a convention town hall for your participation.

You can also follow the conventions online at our new Convention Hub -- a one-stop
shop for all of C-SPAN's convention-related video, convention coverage from
the blogosphere, and links to a number of Internet technologies that C-SPAN is using
to supplement our coverage. Find it at http://www.c-span.org/politics.
