1. As long as we win and he's able to move forward a progressive agenda, it's all good.

9. And As Long as Nothing Happens to Obama
One of the vital functions a Vice President should perform for a President is that of Life Insurance!

Choosing a Republican, even one of the saner ones, (or even a DINO) does the opposite of that.
The Repiggies can get back into power by JFKing Obama then!

2. Halperin is lazy.
He often has these BS blog entries that are based on nothing: no sources, no reporting, just pulls stuff out of thin air.

I think he just doesn't like doing real work.

5. Agree with you -- his choice is a Democrat, I think. Dick Lugar,
"Richard Nixon's favorite mayor," is wildly popular in Indiana but he's a nondescript Republican droid for the most part, with a long record of opposing progressive ideology.

He's a bit long of tooth these days also.

He ran for president but suffered at the polls because, as one political writer put it, "Lugar's sound bites last 45 minutes."

6. OMG... Remember the other night? Halperin broke some news that it was someone else..

I can't even remember who it was.. But he posted it as "Breaking, details to follow........", then after about 20 minutes (as we all waited patiently here at DU) he deleted the whole thing from his site.

He's -->
