Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said in an interview Wednesday that he was uncertain how many houses he and his wife, Cindy, own.

"I think - I'll have my staff get to you," McCain told us in Las Cruces, N.M. "It's condominiums where - I'll have them get to you."

The correct answer is at least four, located in Arizona, California and Virginia, according to his staff. Newsweek estimated this summer that the couple owns at least seven properties.

They're quite aware of the McCain holdings, I'm sure, if only for defense against this very attack. It's not in their interests for the exact number to come out, and you can count on their underreporting it for the media.

I'm sensing near-willingness in the MSM to dig up this information. If they really cared, we'd already know, but the groundswell of opinion against the very rich is beginning to influence them. We might eventually get a look at all the McCain homes--perhaps even before the election--including those hidden under Cindy's name.
