Let me say this about Stephanie Tubbs Jones, Hillary had no better or loyal backer. . .
. . .during the primaries it irritated the hell out of me, but I was excited about her becoming an Obama surrogate and looked forward to seeing her do her thing.

She explained her loyalty to Hillary simply as she gave Hillary her word. As an African American woman who got tons of pressure to stand down for Hillary and support Obama she kept her word, all folks of any political stripe could learn a lot about loyalty from Stephanie Tubbs Jones. May she rest in peace.

2. I agree completely -- it's tragic she won't be at the convention ...
to see Hillary's name placed in nomination. (But she will
be there in spirit and will have the best seat in the house.)

Rest in peace, Stephanie.

7. This puts everything in perspective!
We can agree to disagree. But, we should remember that life is too precious. I will keep her family in my prayers, and hope that we as Dem's will make her proud of us!

18. In Hillary's defense thre is still a lot of confusion as to whether or not she is just brain dead or
. . .has actually passed.

14. I think this it is hard on her(Hillary) also
I mentioned that in another post. Hillary had no one as loyal as Stephanie. I was an Obama supporter and she use to frustrate me with the way she supported Hillary but she was loyal to her. She explained that Hillary was there for her years ago and that she gave her word and you don't go back on your word.

When I was watching Hillary's concession speech at the Museum and at the end Stephanie came to her. Hillary was shaking hands and smiling but when she saw Stephanie they had a big embrace. You could tell from that scene that Stephanie was someone she depended on and I'm sure it went further than just politics.

17. But, uh, she isn't dead, is she?
Wasn't there a news conference that confirmed she was still alive? Or has something happened that I haven't heard of yet?

19. She is simply a beautiful, wonderful person.
The epitome of what a loyal and true friend is. I know Hillary is devastated. They are very close friends.

Her enthusiasm and big smile was a sight to behold.
