Obama Keeps Skewering McCain on Energy
Wednesday, August 6th, 2008

“Senator McCain’s energy plan reads like an early Christmas list for oil and gas lobbyists. And it’s no wonder – because many of his top advisers are former oil and gas lobbyists.”

1. This guy is good, isn't he?
The "taking pride in their ignorance", and now this zinger - too good.

Too good.

7. These are very easy-to-remember phrases...
And I don't mean to disrespect Sen. Kerry in anyway (I worked as a volunteer for his campaign), but Kerry never seemed to be able to come up with these zingers or speak them well. It just wasn't his style. But Obama, he can totally dish it out and look good doing it too.

8. A clever one-liner is ofter better than a lengthy speech in response.

4. During the 2000 debate, Gore said "if you're for big oil and the big drug companies, he's your man."
Referring to Bush.

Obama needs to make an ad out of that line from the debate and use it to refer to McCain and say he wants to continue Bush's policies with a 3rd Bush term.

5. OMG lol they keep cracking me up
First it was "Another day brings another dishonest attack from John McCain," Obama spokesman Bill Burton said. "It's time to retire these old policies and bring new energy to America."

Now it's McCain's early Christmas list!! ROFL

9. All we need now is to attack McCain's "maverick" label head-on.
Edited on Wed Aug-06-08 03:13 PM by anonymous171
"The pundits all say that McCain is a 'maverick' and they are right. McCain has consistently gone out of his way to give the oil companies huge tax breaks, even when it wasn't politically suitable to do so. I wonder if this has anything to do with the fact that oil companies gave over 2 million dollars to his campaign already?"
