Does anyone want to add to the plus or minus?

I've trashed my share. Believe it or not, I was once declared American Spectator Enemy of the Week, shortly after Dan Burton added "scumbag" to the lexicon. I took it to the next level, and gave Tyrell(sp?) and the rest of his staff constructive criticism, using the word "scumbag" as often as possible. You can verify this, if you determine whether my friend Patti or I are the real Nuck Fewt. Hint, I'm in Maryland.

I did the "Town Hall" forum often and smart enough that they determined it was a liability. They made the choice to either seek legal remedy against me, or decide their forum wasn't worth the hassle factor.

Recently, I've been hitting Sean Hannity's board as hard as I can. I'm not ready to accept a silver star or even a purple heart, but I say with a reasonable sense of certainty, that I forced them to change their paradigm. They've stopped accepting new registrations, and their moron mods are on the verge of sleep depravation.

So, am I totally insane? Perhaps. My feeling is if I can make forums, like Hannity's, less of something they want to hype, I've done something. Each and everytime I was banned from Hannity, it was for BS reasons (with a few exceptions):

1) Shortly after it was disclosed that lardass Rush, used his minimum wage maid, to solicit drugs from south Florida drug gangs, I asked whether he is a scumbag, financing terrorists. Ban #1.

2) Someone posted an infant poll, wich ran along the lines of "do you still beat your wife". I simply asked whether someone should plna a nine behind the ear of the survey designer. The asswipe mods gave me ban #2.

3) I posted that Sean should rethink supporting braindead scumbags, like O'Neill. A dirtbag wingnut, neonazi, pulled a Bossie, and claimed I said Sean InsHannity called Senator Kerry, unAmerican.

4) I then chose to have some fun with the lying filth at Hannithy, including spoofing an asswipe mod, and trying to see how much shit would fly. I played with the proxy/fake email/and a few other tricks to keep the debate going.

As of yesterday, Hannity stopped accepting new registrations.

My question is, am I a total asshole, or am I fighting the good fight to push these right wing clowns into snarling themseves into cohesion?

What are the pluses or minuses of breaking the balls of moderators of the right win?

You can be certain that the Repukes have absolutely no reservations about resorting to such tactics. I'm all for liberals, progressives, Dems, or whatever (let's just call 'em good guys) taking off the gloves and duking it out toe to toe with 'em. I say more power to you and keep up the good work.

The pro's to utilizing such a strategy are obvious. If you can mess with them in any way, especially one that results in them basically locking themselves in the panic room, then you're preventing or at least limiting their ability to spread their twisted messages.

As for the con's, well I think that you've already identified them (it) on your own. Using such methods doesn't sit well with people who think that it's actually better to conduct yourself according to certain standards of fairness and/or legality. As previously noted, I think that it's time that we good guys (and girls) took a detour off the high road. Let's get down in the dirt and duke it out. Equal force must be used (if not extra force) to ensure that the election of '04 doesn't end up like the debacle of '00.

10. Some simple rules....

So you want to break their balls.

General Approach

1) Never give them real information about you. I don't care what the terms of use are, they'll use it.

2) If you post from work, use a proxy server. They'll send email to your employer if you're breaking their balls.

3) Get lists of anonymous remailers, free anonymous proxy servers, and free email.

4) Set your firewall to not accept third party cookies. They'll often use them to identify you.



Devise a strategy:

I've done all the below:

Option #1...

Try to be civil, and keep within the bounds of the board. But don't take any shit.

Find the most outrageous statements that seem to have a lot of support on the board. Focus with laser precision on the statements, and find all the resources you can find to show them to be crap.

Option #2...

When option 1 doesn't work, use a resource like buzzflash.com to fill the board with stories that will piss off the right wing. On most of these boards, they do the same thing from sources like WingNutDaily and NewsMin.

Option #3...

If there's a moderator forum, question every decision they make. They all claim to be balanced, but that facade is easily put to lie.

In all the above strategies....

1) Try to find nonexplosive terms like "betrayed the trust of the people" rather than "lied". Rephrase their feel good words like "prolife".

2) Determine what the agenda of the board is all about, and focus on that. On Hannity.com, it's clearly to promote his radio show. Without outright flaming, raise doubts about the quality of the mission. Use resources like Media Matters to save yourself time.

3) Be cognitive of simple counter games that they'll play. They'll throw red herrings at you, like "what about Clinton". They'll shoot the messenger, like "you're a socialist" or "Salon isn't a credible source". Don't let them distract you from your message. Respond with your original thought. Repition is a key. Respond to every post with your main point, no matter what they do.

After you're banned

1) Switch your proxy server.

2) Delete all cookies you've gotten from the site.

3) Get a new free email.

4) Go right back and continue what you're doing.

5) People will always claim you're a banned member. Never address this head on. Keep them off balance, with responses like "who's that?".

6) Never give up. If there's a hole in they procedures, exploit it to come right back and keep it up. If your objective is to minimize the value of their board, don't be discouraged by things like a banning or an IP ban. Get right back there and continue to diminish the value of thier site.

I am an independent thinker. I joined various forums (including Hannity) to get a clearer point of view from both sides. It is amazing to me that this thread exist. It is shameful to see that some people cannot honestly and intelligently discuss issues without using these "tactics" to "trash" opposing point of views. It's a sad state of affair...

19. Let me clarify...

I'm really of two minds on this. Hannity is a documented liar. Their board is composed of about 80% Hannity supporters. They provide a venue to dispute the lies of the right wing. I took advantage of that. I didn't just go to flame. I went to hit them hard with the facts.

They have two sets of rules. One for conservatives and one for liberals. Their moderators will use any excuse to ban a liberal, while similar behavior from conservatives are encouraged.

Their Community Standards clearly state that the board is for discussing politics. DU states that the use of this board is for liberals. Freepers states that the use of their board is for conservatives. I have no problem with either (except that freepers are the lowest form of being).

Here's some examples:

1) JoeX calls me a commie/socialist over and over. In one thread, I catch JoeX calling for throwing out their Springsteen CDs, and call them for using brownshirt tactics. Booom, I'm banned.

2) Bush pays for TV ads calling recreational drug users supporters of world terror. I post that Rush Limbaugh supports terrorists. Boom, I'm banned.

Should I just accept the ban, and find another sandbox? Hannity is a very active board, sponsored by his hate radio supporters, WABC. I'd call it a responsibility to never be detered by capricious bans, and continue to challenge them at every opportunity.

The reason I've been banned so often there is more because I'm vocal on their moderators forum, and continually challenge their capricious application of the rules.

is to tell them I'm a disgruntled conservative that is voting for Kerry. They hate that. They call me a liar and a commie and on and on. Seldom do they come back with any rational responses to that. I rarely have "trashed" a board. I just go in, with good resources, and present a world view which is about 180 degrees different. I don't go in and call everyone a MF. I go in with negative conservative stories and positive liberal stories.

On a board like Hannity's, you'll be called everything in the book, with impunity. On rare occassion, I respond in kind, and ban to the nth power occurs.

Another perspective. What is wrong with filling Hannity's board with opinions that are contrary to his filthy message? What's wrong with diminishing the value of his site?

statement does not in any way apply to you. I enjoy going to forums where all sides can discuss issues but I rarely find ones that you don't have to wade through a lot of junk to get to the good points. If they are set up like DU, you can "flag" the posters that present their views in an intelligent manner and just avoid everyone else.

If you are posting well-reasoned posts to Hannity's site you are increasing the value of his site even though your views are not the same as most of the posters.
