Positive Vibrations

Positive vibration yeah!

If you get down and quarrel everyday
You're saying prayers to the devil, I say
Why not help another on the way
Make it much easier
Say you just can't live that negative way
You know what I mean
Make way for the positive day
Cause its a new day
New time, new feeling yeah!
Say it's a new sign
Oh what a new day
Picking up.
Are you picking up now
Jah love, Jah love, protect us (Repeat)
Rastaman Vibration yeah!
Positive
I and I vibration yeah! Irie Ites
Vibes, got to have a good vibe
Picking up.
Are you picking up now
Happy August 1, 2008! There are two things that I would like to say today. The first has to do with Brack Obama, and some concerns that some DUers have been expressing about his style of campaigning. This week, we have witnessed some ugly attacks by the John McCain campaign, and people would like to see Obama return fire. Some people wonder why doesn’t Obama react? Didn’t he learn from the 2000 and 2004 elections?
He did learn. But he knows that not only is it not 2000 or 2004, but that he is not Al Gore or John Kerry. He has expressed appreciation that both of these men – both of whom I believe won their elections – are supporting him. I’m confident that he listens to them.
Obama campaigns in a different manner than we are used to. He thinks in a different way than people used to in the past. And he is running a campaign that he mapped out long ago, and he is exactly on course.
During the early primary season, after the first couple debates, a few advisors were hoping to get him into a higher gear. He told them to be patient, because he was going to step-up his game in the 4th quarter. He planned to do his best work once the field was narrowed down to three, then two, candidates.
Also keep in mind that some of the things the McCainites are throwing out at Obama right now are not new. They really don’t work well. In fact, a commercial with Brittney and Paris is not only not going to "sink" Obama’s campaign, but it will become a joke that defines McCain’s failure.
Point two: We want McCain to go gutter ugly now. We should thank our lucky stars that his campaign advisors are doing this type of thing now. They are feeling the pressure of a contest that not even the republican machine thinks McCain can win. By going ugly, McCain’s true nature comes to the surface.
We want McCain to be throwing hay-makers now. We want him to try to step up the pace. Listen: Obama has joked about the campaign turning his hair gray, and indeed it has. Think of what the faster pace and increased tension will do to McCain. He will become grumpy, confused, hostile, and paranoid by the time of the fall debates.
On page 833 of "Journals," Arthur Schlesinger, Jr., calls McCain "a loose cannon …..capable of bizarre behavior." Schlesinger notes in disgust a "so-called joke" McCain told at a republican dinner, about a teen-aged girl he thought was "ugly." Karma-time, John. The American public is going to see that McCain is so repulsive, that they will view him as a combination of Dick Nixon and Dick Cheney’s worst qualities.
Things are good. It’s the weekend. Relax, have some fun, and enjoy yourself. Listen to some Bob Marley. And if you want, put on some Peter Tosh. We are on the right path. Get ready for a month where we can participate in making history.
Your friend,
