OBAMA CAMPAIGN: The Strategy To Win the White House...
After Obama got back from his successful overseas trip I began hearing media and republican backlash over how he handled it, troop visit and such. Once again the republicans successfully steering the focus of this election towards fear, unsubstantiated lies, and innuendo, and the media happily obliges. Now I'm not here to complain about the media or the Republicans running through their tried and true, aging, pages-stuck-together playbook. No no. I'm hear to complain about how the Obama campaign has been obediently playing along. Guy's wake up! You're running a brilliant campaign and Obama is the best, most qualified to run this country (we and they know this) but come on this isn't Hillary you're fighting anymore which at the time was somewhat understandable not to go all-out dirty and beat her corrupt ass.

Fuck the possibility of losing independents or an elevated negativity rating. As we've seen with Hillary or McCain when it comes down to it the average voter either doesn't care or completely forgets an hour later and goes right back to focusing on those simple pleasures rather than balancing the whole picture. And for those of us who are voting on more substance we just can't stand by watching while Rocky gets hammered for 12 rounds by Drago with 3000 lbs per hit and never bothers to strike back. WTF strategy is that?! With that approach one would only have to dodge and kill time in the final round to win by default.

If the Obama Campaign wants to actually win the White House and not be yet another pinata kill for the republican wack-stick here are my thoughts on what NEEDS to be done:

1. When the General Election campaigning began Obama and the Democratic Party were constantly linking Bush to McCain. Go back to pushing this narrative thru clear and simple imagery and words to remind people what Bush has accomplished and what McCain will prolong. I want this motif to be stated and restated by Obama and every other Democrat from Peolsi to that low-level janitor on Capital Hill that even Pavlov's dog would be proud.

2. In the age of YouTube, Bush, McCain, and the McCain campaign have personally given us video footage which undermine their credibility and message. It's really quite extraordinary that this magic well just keeps on giving! You'll see, Gaffe-Master McCain will do it again by week's end. It's almost as if the republican party wants to loose yet they are SO CONFIDENT that no one will notice or care. Perhaps its because democrats have been consistent pussys that Repubs have grown complacent in their once carefully scripted words. Obama, USE THAT HEAP OF VIDEO FOOTAGE and let their own words hang them.

3. The media does have a republican slant (for good financial reason) and is made up of several republican supporters but for the most part they just want ratings (well Fox News just wants Obama dead). Controversy and going negative on Obama boosts ratings. Repubs know this and every day they feed a new theme to the MSM temporarily satisfying their starving bloated bellies. Obama be like the Repubs, give the media KILLER HEADLINES about McCain=Bush. You dont sit back and defend an attack, you fabricate or embellish to create an intriguing headline for the media to run with. Hillary knew this and used it to her advantage. There was a psychology article that mentioned about being accused of anything -- You dont acknowledge the accusation by simply denying it because it only reinforces that you did it; What you do is wrap it around to another argument. Something like that. And very importantly these headline statements must be made by Barack Obama himself not some who-gives-a-shit surrogate. I guarantee that will make the nightly news.

4. The Repubs arent going to let up on offshore drilling. It is their bread-n-butter. Unfortunately on the surface such a plan makes sense to the average person and so you need to neuter it. You can remind people it is a gimmick with no short term or even long-term benefits but perhaps using the negative approval of George Bush to your advantage would be more affective. Point out that Bush has deceived us into the Iraq War and higher oil profits for him, Cheyney and Big Oil and McCain with Bush et al want more. They cant be trusted relying on your ignorance once again to make more profit. In fact point out to explore offshore drilling without solving the bigger problem will inevitably lead to bigger prices at the pump. Inevitably Bush wins and you loose once again.

Just some thoughts from a frustrated individual. I encourage everyone to provide strategies for Obama to adopt to help combat the Repubs. I think it's safe to characterize the democratic party as pussys and republicans as men on a mission. Hopefully with our help we can get the balls to finally drop, if only a little for this general election.
