I really don't understand McCain, he has gained little for his freeper conversion, the conservatives who hated him before still hate him and he is dead to the Democrats and Independents who would have voted for him as the great consensus moderate.

And even without the conversion he still would have won the nomination.

5. The extreme righties - the "really, really right", think

McCain is a Democrat, Obama is a Communist/Islamic/Antichrist/Satan, and that their choice is either Ron Paul or the guy who is running on the Constitution Party ticket (Can't recall his name now), or one of several smaller "third party" candidates.

Many of the RR Righties were hoping for Clinton to win the Dem nomination because thei feared Obama would be harder to beat and more
"dangerous" to their causes if he were elected President.

I read a post some months ago about an "idea" to shoot Obama if he were elected, therefore making his VP choice President, the thought being that anyone else would be preferable to Obama.This was casually mentioned on a forum, and did not foster much comment, but I think it is
not an uncommon idea amont certain extremist righties.

Remember - there are many out there who make the "mainstream" right wingers look like rational and nearly intelligent humans.
They are not.

Did you know that socialism does not require that the state actually take control of the means of production? Regulation by the government interferes with possession of property and that is enough to label a government (like our current one) "socialist."

I also learned that global warming is a hoax. Al Gore and the libruls made it up to have an excuse to control the entire economy and throw us all back into the 13th century!
