It's sad when a Republican like Michelle Bernard even has to smack down Buchanan
Edited on Thu Jul-31-08 05:28 PM by BklynChick
I really do respect Michelle Bernard, even though she's a Republican. She always has a smart and nuanced perspective about race, unlike most Black Republicans. She refused to say the Brittney/Paris ad has racial undertones, but she went off today on Hardball, basically saying that the Repubicans are portraying Obama as a "scary Black man" and that it's wrong. She was great.

1. Racial undertones? I don't really think so. I think it has 'stupid' undertones,
just like everything else McCain does.

Who is running his campaign - PeeWee Herman?

2. Michelle needs to learn the Wehrmacht marching song "Heili, Heilo, Heila"
Pat would fall into a childlike stupor as if listening to a lullabye.

4. The US Corp TV Media trots out the few Afro-American
RWingers when discussing race. Hmmm... wonder why that is.

3. Michelle has described herself as "an independant who leans right"
she heads up Independant woman's voice or something like that.

5. She is way too good to be a Republican - maybe she'll join us one day!

7. I like Michelle Bernard.
She is always respectful of others and makes a great deal of sense when she speaks. She definitely is not an ideologue. I think she and Rachel would be a really great team to head up a show.

10. Not very Republican.
She's been on the teevee a lot lately. She always sides with Obama.
