This Weak w/ John McCain
even for a double octegenarian like the aged Senator from AZ, this has been a tough weak. He planned to fix it all with a mano a mano display of wits, presidentiality, assertiveness, confidence, and accuracy - things that were missing in action for quite some time.

I must admit, as badly as I react to Ye Olde Candidate, this had to be one of the most painful performances I've seen since the time that Ted Kennedy deliberately self-destructed his presidential campaign against James Earl Carter.

Lame does not do it justice.

One issue alone took the cake.
Timetables?

Does anyone else get the feeling that some alien superior beings are treating Americans as lab rats? And seeing how many mistakes, mis-steps, errors, dumb-fuck answers, and just plain idiotic positions the elder (REALLY ELDER) senator from . . . er . . . what was that state. . . . wait, it will come back to him. . . . YET STILL SUPPORT THIS SENILE IDIOT?

1. It defies all reason.
I've recently wondered about the alien experiment angle myself. Maybe in 2012, they will show up and scream "ENOUGH!" right before we completely ruin the planet and take over since we failed so miserably.

I have an acquaintance who will never vote for a Democrat no matter how many rational, logical arguments are presented to him. He refuses to acknowledge McCain's fuck-ups and won't even engage in conversation about them. As far as he's concerned, McCain is a war hero and is the only one of the two who cares about the men and women in uniform (he's retired Navy). This is not a stupid or uneducated man.

As I said, defies all reason, but there you go.
