5. He was inadvertantly correct
Afghanistan was just a speed-bump on the way to Baghdad.. Bush never planned to be there long enough to actually catch the "bad guys", but he had to at least start to make it look like he was trying... It was filler..while he got his shit together for Iraq...and to allow enough time to pass so he could "skeer us reeeel good"..
