For Every 100 People I Know And Have Talked To Only 1 Out Of 100.....
supports McCain and Bush. Everyone else is in Obama's court. I don't know where the MSM is getting this poll info that says that Obama/McCain are in a virtual tie. It is bogus. I don't believe it for a second. It will be a landslide in November - unless I'm missing something. Can anyone tell me different?

2. Even if what you say is true work like we are 10 points behind
and every vote is the most important vote ever.

3. I don't doubt for a moment that what you're experiencing is true...
It's just that even those numbers are not statistically significant...

You need hundreds of thousands of people, if not millions, to have any chance of accuracy.

Even so, I suspect you're right!

:hi:

10. In Any Case,
it's not a representative sample of the country, so the concept of statistical significance does not really apply.

4. My father in-law says he's voting for McCain
I think he recognizes a fellow cranky old guy with memory issues.

5. the ministry of propaganda has a job to do
And that job DOES NOT involve telling us that Obama has the election wrapped up.

They need to steal it again. ANd since there are more electronic machines now than before it is
So-o possible.

If only people acro0ss the country had done what they did in New Meixico and demanded Paper Ballots only

6. Perhaps the demographics of the people you know
isn't a good sampling of the population in general? ( with respect to age, race, religion, gender, socio-economic class, and geographical region)

7. I just got back from visiting rural El Centro, CA

talked to a fellow who was raised Democratic and considers himself a Democrat.

He was glad to finally talk to someone that could tell him that Obama was in fact not a Muslim.

We live in a nation with a great divide urban and rural and they have two completely different world views and news sources.

It is a lot closer than it should be and we have a great deal of work to do.

8. They say it to drum up McCain support.
Like the town meetings, the only way for McCain to get someone to show up is to appear with Obama.

11. Where do you live
Here in small town Indiana there are tons of anti-Obama folks. They aren't pro-McCain, just anti-Obama and virtually all of their arguments against Obama are RW lies. It is actually very demoralizing that this is what our democracy has devolved into. I wouldn't be suprised if Obama/McCain are in a tie. Personally I can't figure out why anyone who is paying a dimes worth of attention to politics and who isn't misinformed about the issues would vote for a republican. I could understand voting libertarian (I personally wouldn't) but not GOP.
