I wonder if the New Yorker will roast McSame next, and if so,
What would their satirical cartoon have ? McSame in Depends? Any ideas for a good follow-up cover?

2. This isn't a 'roast' of Obama, but rather, of his ignorant and racist opponents. nt

3. It would have to be the National Review or some title on the right to have the same effect
which will never happen, of course. They're not as cool as us, see. :sarcasm:

6. I believe the National Review
has done some covers using figures from the right in a satirical context.

There was a thread here last night that showed a few of them. Sorry, no link, but I do remember seeing it.

7. Depicting left-wing stereotypes or criticisms from doctrinally pure conservatives?
Big difference.

4. Since Newhouse Jr, the owner of the New Yorker, is not noted
for being a progressive, I doubt he will ever dare indirectly make fun of the idiot McSame. He certainly enjoyed prosecuting Don Siegelman in his Alabama newspapers.

8. "Ace McCain", ..oops another crashed jet .
Nickname given to McC by his fellow pilots after crashing a number of multi-million dollar planes. He was the worst.

10. A rerun, but I keep adding to it each time...
Edited on Mon Jul-14-08 09:54 AM by Youphemism

A cover of McCain betting North Dakota in a poker game with his Vietnamese captors, hollering "Beer me, c**t" over his shoulder to his wife, as a few lobbyists whisper in his ear, Phil Gramm ups his bet without permission, and Charles Keating peeks at the other players' cards.

Cindy, in the background, has clearly *just* served him a fresh beer and is, for no apparent reason, also wearing army boots.

14. a nursing home
with the candidate in diapers in a wheel chair and being spoonfed by an aide- with drool coming out of his mouth

it would be the only fair comparison of the stereotypes - would it ever happen?? I don't think there is a chance in hell

16. That would be magnifying the truth about him-that he's old. They did not magnify the truth
about the Obamas. There's no smear campaign that I know of about McCain that even CLOSELY resembles the well-known smears and lies about Obama. 12% of people STILL believe he's a Muslim. What negative lie about MCCAIN has spread around the country like the anti-American, "secret Muslim" BS about Obama?
