About what Jesse Jackson said
I am wondering if all of that wasn't orchestrated by the Obama campaign. And that would be a smart move since it makes perfect sense to put some distance between Jesse Jackson and Barack Obama. Jesse is a rather polarizing public figure.

Don't get me wrong. I am a big Jesse Jackson fan. I just am acknowledging the fact that he isn't loved by all.

So if my theory is correct, it's Al Sharpton's turn to say something nasty about Obama. :)

1. I don't think so. And Sharpton has been very very consistent, never glowing about Obama, but no
criticism. Sharpton was asked about Jackson's comments (the deeper thoughts) and he said he totally disagreed and supported Obama.

2. that is what I thought all along. They have done similar things in the past
This time it drew attention away from the FISA debacle.

3. I don't think so either and just posted a thought in another thread....
Of course, being an AA woman, I think it is good thing that Jackson said what he said and that it's being ran into the ground by MSM. The farther away O is from the Sharpton's, King's and Jackson's, the "safer" he appears to insecure white folks who think that a black in the White House means the end of white folks in America. I know, it's stupid but I really believe some people think like this.

I do NOT appreciate the way the MSM is trying to compare Jackson to Phil Gramm. MSM is pushing that Jackson is a surrogate of Obama when he is not (IMHO anyway).

But Phil Gramm is Bush III's economic advisor and is onboard Bush III's campaign.

How can they possibly, fairly compare these two people I just don't know. How can they possibly compare the hot mike gaffe to the sentiments of Phil Gramm? It's like measuring the weight of a feather against the weight of a stone.

No valid comparison. Once again MSM is being deceptive.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

4. No, wrong, sorry but Obama did not have Jackson whisper in front
of an open microphone that Obama "has been talking down to black people on this faith based"

5. First let me say that I got a big laugh at Jacksons comment.
That's how men talk when they disagree with another man. I would also like to note that Jackson is blacker than Obama and more prone to side with blacks. Obama is in the middle, half white and half black. I can therefore see each mans point of view.
