ANOTHER Sexism SMEAR?
I noticed this AM that CNSNews (Cybercast News Service - a RW online publication) is running two stories alledging that Obama pays male staff better than he pays female staff. What's worse, McSame pays females more than males...and so did Hillary.

This morning:
www.cnsnews.com/ViewPolitics.asp?Page=/Politics/archive/200806/POL20080630a.html

April 30:
http://www.cnsnews.com/ViewPolitics.asp?Page=/Politics/archive/200804/POL20080430a.html

I have seen this nowhere else and cannot find sources for their claims, other than their own charts...and they even mention that it was CNSNews staff who did the calculating!

Is this another RW smear and should it be reported?

15. Heard there was a place to report it to the campaign.
Do not know if it is "worthy."

2. Oh, at first I misread that as CBS.
Well, probably a right wing smear since it came from a RW online publication, it can be ignored. We all know about McCains' record on equal wages, they are probably trying to cover for that.

3. Oh noes!! Not a report from some rightwing source!!
Yes, it is another baseless attack, and No, it shouldn't be reported.

4. If it comes from CNS it can probably be safely ignored
the "journalists" that work for CNS are on the simian plan, they fire all the feces they can collect at the wall and hope a little bit sticks for them all to enjoy.

9. They might now you've spread it further
Congratulations.

Spreading lies and disinformation is a nasty job. But someone has to do it.

14. actually, neither says ANYTHING OF THE SORT.
The username is because I own a dairy farm. The post count is because I am new to DU.

Whatever else, regarding my character, you are attempting to infer is a foul lie.

Bite me.

17. Overreact much?
I see nothing in sourmilk's previous posts that would indicate they are trying to hype this smear.

6. It should be addressed
With facts. Then hope by some miracle that a real journalist gets wind of the story and brings it to the MSM.

We have to be ready to respond and this kind of misinfo should never be ignored or the election will go to the pukes.

8. Obama has been hiring more high-profile women to his campaign lately
so obviously these numbers will shift.

10. I agree with the rest that
until and unless it is reported in the more reputable media it shouldn't be paid much attention.

I'm curious, though, about this: What's worse, McSame pays females more than males...and so did Hillary.

Why is it worse to pay men less than women than it is to pay women less than men?

12. I think the OP is implying...
that its "worse" for Obama because McCain and Hillary appear pro-woman while he does not. Considering that the "smear" obviously intended to be anti-Obama, it makes sense in that context.

13. I suppose that it is strange either way...
...though logic tells us that it HAS to be one way or the other.

I was actually just wondering if this had found its way into any REAL news organization, because this crap is being spread (and no - not by myself, JoFerret) and the only actual source for the article is...ITSELF.

I would hazard a guess that this is merely a smear, and if so, I had heard that the campaign had someplace to report it as such.

18. Again, I totally agree that
the reporting of it - particularly at that place, should be ignored unless it makes its way to the real news.

I do need to, for my own curiosity, however, need now to ask WHY "logic tells us that it HAS to be one way or the other." Why can't men and women just be paid equally? If Hillary & McCain are paying women more than men, I find that equally as wrong as the other way around. In my mind, there is nothing logical about it.

I know that is off topic, though, so that is the last you will see from me about it.
