Bill and Hill and Barack and Senator McCain and President Bush
This is probably small potatoes, but it pisses me right the fuck off every fucking time I hear it.

Matthews is not the only one, but he is the worst.

Captain Combover is always referred to as "Senator McCain" or "John McCain". But never is he called "John".

Idiot Son is almost always called "President Bush".

But "The Clintons" are almost always "Bill" or "Hillary" or (worse) "Hill". When was the last time you heard "Senator Clinton" or "President Clinton".

And our nominee is "Barack" far more often than "Senator Obama".

Yeah, I know ...... none of these statements are absolutes. But I find it insulting, demeaning, and intentionally diminishing of the luminaries of our party. Meanwhile, the fuckstick Repubicans get called by their rightful (<---- did I say that about the Bush boy??) names and titles.

Am I being petty here?

1. no, because I was always secretly pleased when Peter Jennings called him Mr. Bush
never once called him President Bush. I loved that - people notice. It is a respect thing

4. It offends me every time. It's a personal beef here too. George Carlin
was right when he said he will always be "Governor Bush" to me. It's the last position he lawfully held.
