Yesterday we had another great fundraising day for the Obama campaign, raising nearly $2,000. We are now more than 1/5 of the way to our goal of raising $50,000 for Barack Obama!

As you know, Senator Obama recently decided not to take any public financing for his campaign, so he is going to need millions of small donors like us to fund his campaign. Don't wait: Donate now!

And remember to click this link before you give so we can keep track of how much our members have donated:

Even if you can't donate now, please help by kicking or recommending this thread!

GOBAMA!

5. After the Senator's cave-in on telecom immunity
I will not be donating to him or voting for him again. He and the Democratic Party have shown their true allegiance: corporate fascism. Yes, the Republicans are worse, but the Dems are working hard to catch up to them.

I had contributed a substantial amount to Obama and had volunteered on numerous occasions, but now I feel absolutely betrayed.

If you don't think the corporate takeover of our once-great nation is now complete, you're totally delusional. Pelosi, Reid and Hoyer presided over the last chance to stop the march of fascism in America. They bowed to their corporate masters and now, in the name of anti-terrorism, our government, with the blessing of the U.S. Congress, will be monitoring every financial transaction, every phone call and every email to be sure that we the people are staying in line with their agenda.

This election is now about which flavor of pseudo-representative government we will have in place for the next four years.

This is a sad turn of events. Very very sad.

9. Can we donate as a bundle with issues attached?
such as:

out of Iraq in 6 mo's.

End to NAFTA, WTO.

Prosecution of past admin for any crimes committed.

Independent investigation of 9-11.

Regulating oil speculation/industries.

Single payer not for profit health-care.

Ending the Reagan tax cuts for the wealthy.

Free education through college.

Is there a way to do this?

11. I donate once a month and already did June
until Nov I will be donating beginning of every month. I am one of his many little people and I figure if everyone does this even in little amounts he will be fine.

This month I actually for the first time in years donated also to the DNC after Obama's people took over. And i agree with the article at Dailykos talking about how if you are mad at congress withhold money from DCCC & DSCC not the DNC which is for the people.

That is http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/6/22/62448/3664/940/540122

15. Done.
I donated thru the mail a few days ago, and I just donated again thru DU.

Obama is our only hope to clean up DC. Whatever issues you may have with the man, he is still 1000% better than McCain!
