Wizard of Oz Song (If I only had a brain)
This is a little crass, but for some reason, I wrote it anyway. Don't know if I'll get it recorded yet or not.

When one is empty hearted
And the other one’s retarded
I think we can complain

It’s okay to start assumin’
That these two were never human
Cause they have no heart and brain

They keep shippin home the bodies
And their closest friends are Saudi’s
Seems they never show remorse

When will they stop the useless killin’
All this on a gutless feelin’
And the three words “stay the course”

Oh I, could tell you why
The price of gas is high
When you siphon out the money and the greed
It’s just a man, who hates to read

We can gladly give the credit
To the voters who just don't get it
Stupid ought to be a crime

As long as they keep raisin' gas
We'll keep taken it up the a....
So bend over one more time

The moral of this story
There is no fame and glory
When you have no heart and brain

As long as they keep on a’greedin
Then we'll keep on a’bleedin
And the ignorant will reign

2. A regular Oscar Hammerstein! Very nicely done.
Put some time into that one on a Thursday evening, didn't you?

I like doing that occasionally, too.

Here's my recent tribute to the end of GD: Primaries, sung to "Thanks for the Memory."

Thanks for the memory
Of hot flame wars each day, insults in every way,
For those who wanted Gravel, this was no place you could stay,
How lovely it was!

Thanks for the memory
Of tempers when they flare, the passions that you share,
You haven’t visited DU Lounge since John McCain had hair
How lovely it was!

Many's the time that I was put on ignore,
Many’s the time they named me to the Mods,
But that’s OK although we nuked each other,
We’ll be OK, our nominee’s a Brother

And thanks for the memory
Of those who had no clue, of posting at this zoo,
The sky has opened, the light’s come down, celestial choirs, too
So thank you so much
