Joe Biden: I'd Make A Great President, Secretary Of State, Vice President
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/06/17/joe-biden-id-make-a-great_n_107674.html

"Sen. Joseph Biden (D-Del.) enthusiastically confirmed Tuesday his aspirations in a Barack Obama administration, telling reporters that he doesn't want to join the ticket -- but would take it if asked.

"I'd make a great president. I 'd make a great Secretary of State. I'd make a great vice president," said Biden, who was responding to reports that he could join an Obama administration. "There are a lot of people out there who want the job. I'm not one of them... (But) you'd have to take it. There's not a single, solitary person who, with Barack Obama as the presidential nominee in this most historic of races, who if asked would say 'no.' I wouldn't say 'no.' I hope he doesn't ask me."

4. Sometimes I can't figure out Joe.
I genuinely believe he doesn't want to be VP. But you'd think he might be a little excited about it. He'd be older than McCain in 8 years (yeep!) but he could still give it one more go then.

6. I think he's too used to being the number one guy -
Speaking as part of an administration would by necessity take away much of his freedom to speak his mind. That's how I view it, anyway.

13. Yes, you are taking it wrong. He wants a very prominent role in the administration.
He just can't come out and say it directly because to do so would put undue pressure on Obama to find a place for him. He dropped a big hint here that he wants VP or Secretary of State, but he puts a disclaimer in so that if Obama does not offer him one of those positions it will not reflect badly.

17. No, he's made it clear publicly and privately
he's happy where he is. However many Biden supporters want him in the cabinet (and if asked he'd do it).

7. When Biden says "I hope he doesn't ask me" he means...
I hope he asks me.

I don't hold it against him, it's actually kind of cute.

20. We would have to start calling him "Smoking Joe" Biden if he were
Barack's VP. He would be fired up and not pulling his punches against those who should be hit hard. I personally would love to see it, as I suspect so would you.

One can only hope, right Old Crusoe?

Sam

tough scrape, and I think he'd come through for us time after time.

11. As much as I liked Hillary, I think we really missed a great opportunity with Biden.
He would have been a great president.
