19. I regret some things I said after the primary in the last 48 hours....

All the energy I spent trying to be as even-handed and fair-minded as possible during the primary season. It takes a lot of effort. Many times you feel attacked, and you often feel that other people are being unfair or mean. And then there are a handful of people that are just complete jackasses, and it makes you angry.

And still I tried hard to keep it civil. Remember the Obama Police Actions? Probably not, I am not that important or famous of a DU poster. But I would jump into threads where Obama supporters were being jerks and criticize the remarks. I tried to keep an eye on the facts, even if they didn't favor my candidate, which mean there were times when I was defending Clinton against other Obama supporters.

But after it was official, and the race was over - its like I lost my sanity for a bit. I lost ALL patience with the more strident of Clinton supporters, and its like the only thing I wanted to say to any of them still trashing Obama was a big FUCK OFF.

So yeah... I regret some of my comments in the last 48 hours, and now I'm back to trying to maintain a certain kind of tone.

I was an asshole who let loose with some hillary hatred after her 3am ad and O'Reilly "I'll let the voters decide" about Wright.

26. I don't think it was one thing in particular.

But I admit that I sometimes came off as a jerk, even though people who know me IRL (including DUers) see me as a generally levelheaded, fair-minded person.

I even defended Hillary a couple of times when necessary, particularly when someone called her less-than-flattering names.

But there were times when I seemed to be too consumed with winning, so much so that I would lash out at anybody with a differing opinion instead of engaging them if they happened to have a decent argument.

I also was surprised when several hardcore Hillary supporters immediately jumped onto the Obama bandwagon when he became the nominee. I had foolishly assumed they would be defiantly against Obama until November, so I guess that's egg on my face.
