This is not the impression we want left as women
I as an Obama supporter have said more than once, that Clinton has done a great thing and completely shattered the glass ceiling for women..and will always be honored and remembered for that..but this continual having to "give her space". "handle her with kid gloves".. "be careful not to upset her" scenario, is NOT an impression that women candidates for the highest office want to be SADDLED.

Senator Clinton.. please buck up, you have to be tougher than this for those who follow, Smile and support the candidate, cross your fingers behind you back.. what ever it takes.. This really is bigger than you..

1. I agree
I don't find her tough at all. Nobody with real inner strength would go around saying she will obliterate ME countries that don't do as she says - just one example, but honestly I don't want people thinking that women have to say that kind of shit to be just as strong and willing to nuke someone as the next guy. You don't SAY such things - she makes women looked scared and only capable of tough "talk". Her Bosnia lies gave the same impression, ie words from someone who doesn't know what strength is. And women DO know what strength is - we don't all lie about our experiences. We don't all think it is necessary to threaten to eliminate whole countries for people to know that if we had to, it would be an option but not one you bandy about in public.

And now we have to "give her time" to come to her understanding that she lost - what the hell does that say about women? We don't get win/lose concepts? We need time to "process" defeat? We can't be handled "roughly" and people must walk on eggshells for fear of upsetting us? Would have loved to see how a person could have run a country in a global world acting like that, man or woman. And yes, we have men who act like this, but at this stage of the game, a woman candidate cannot afford to play out the stereotypes as Hillary is doing.

She has freaking set us back years, just years with her behavior. I hear people talk about it, and yep, she is reminding some people of their unstable, "delicate too sensitive" moms. The kind of women you wouldn't trust to run their own lives in a non-dysfunctional way, more less a country. Just like there are guys out there too that you wouldn't trust - but that point is escaping some people as they watch this Hillary debacle.

I have now heard people say that they just can't see a woman in office, running a country, EVER - and no, I hadn't heard that much during her campaign. But now having watched her NOT rise above her personality defects, with the campaign over and with her still acting unstable, they are coming out of the woodwork, nodding their heads and saying "well, looks like I was right, here is a woman acting just like how I thought she would, with no sense of the bigger picture, all this "delicate, I need TIME crap."

2. Yes that was my take also
As a woman, I am appalled by the "too delicate to make up my mind" on one hand.. and out of the world "bombing them back to the stone age" rhetoric on the other.. sheesh..

3. I think the deference she's being afforded has more to do with her powerful stature in the party
than her gender.

JMHO.

4. Her behavior now making this VP quest another Hillary-fight is awful.
We don't need a strong arm VP in office. Period. No President wants a VP who might me at constant odds within the Executive Branch.

All of this shows me how much bad judgment she's capable of. Sure, I would have voted for her to save the SCOTUS but I'm greatly relieved that she didn't prevail.

8. Uh, I've known several... er.. less than ideal (shall we say) girls and women....
That fact doesn't make me conclude about *other* girls and women.

It's the biggest non-issue there could ever be.
