And one thing that I've come up with (which has probably already been posited before -- but here it is anyway), is that perhaps they have a deal with the Bushes to pardon Dubya and his minions and all their war crimes once she takes office. And that's why they're fighting tooth and nail and saying just any old shit. Bill really will just make stuff up. I never noticed that about him, although my radical right-wing brother has been saying it for years. This primary has really opened my eyes about the Clintons.

And another thing, I wish we could all tell Hillary, "Hey, babe, thanks for a good race. But, yeah... it turns out we're just not that into you." :shrug:

Go for the simple explanation first. Money.

They've seen how lucrative it is to be a former President and I think that's why they've been so willing to "invest" so much of their own money.

I really don't have anything against Hillary and I'm grateful to the big dog for the job he did as President. It's just the best reason why I can come up with for why she's still in.

No offense, but if *that's* what you've come up with, you've got too much time on your hands.

IMHO, the best explanation is the simplest: Bill doesn't want his 'legacy' to be the Blue Dress. For all the great stuff he did, he'll be forever remembered as the guy who got a bj in the Oval Office--and that's too bad. This is his chance to reclaim his legacy and restore the Clinton name.

For instance, it's pretty clear that we will have universal healthcare no matter which Democrat is elected. It will be forever linked to whomever is in office--imagine if it's Hillary. The Clinton name would be held in the same high esteem as FDR and the New Deal.

They are fighting to be on the center stage of history.

And, would you really call a 60-year old Senator 'babe'?
