Chelsea Clinton
Okay, in light of Bill Clinton's desire to make her President someday, I'll go ahead and say the unsayable. I don't think Chelsea is particularly impressive. Okay, she's fairly attractive. Seems poised. So what? There are thousands and thousands of young ladies her age who you could say the same thing about.

I'll go even further. She has demonstrated not one iota of aptitude or ability for public service. She went straight for hedge fund money. Nothing wrong with that per se, but how does that in any way make her Presidential timbre?

Lets put it this way. The Bush daughters (one of them, can't remember which) at least went into teaching. Anyone want to put them up for President someday? They've been drunk in public. There are pictures of Chelsea out there being drunk too.

Chelsea seems like a nice, smart kid. Thats about it. Lets leave it at that and let her have a happy life.

1. Agreed. She seems like a nice person. She seems moderately intelligent.
Anyone who claims she should be President is simply an out-and-out Royalist.

27. Moderatley intelligent? She graduated (with honors?) from Stanford.
That's not too shabby. Where'd YOU go to school?

29. University of Chicago.
Taking a year before I apply to law schools; 175 on my LSAT.

Stanford's a good school, but citing the school of attendance for any political scion is misleading. Children of the elite can write their own diploma. Dubya graduated from Yale and Harvard, after all.

17. You apparently don't know....
Well, let me clue you in: It appears that once you become an Obama supporter you acquire physic powers and have the ability to read the minds of Bill and Hillary Clinton, therefore knowing what they think and what their intentions are. It's amazing!

21. Who said I'm an Obama supporter?
Read the link above. No reading of minds is necessary. Bill Clinton has stated his desires.

I'm an Obama supporter, but what would you expect any bright young woman's father to say under the same circumstances?

5. A Question And Some Points
1) May I see the drunken picture?

2) It's a rare American who hasn't been drunk once...

3) Lots of Democrats have backgrounds in finance and business... Or they have trust funds that allow them to pursue public careers...Jon Corzine and Frank Lautenberg fall in the former group and Jay Rockefeller and Ted Kennedy fall into the latter group...Some even benefit from just marrying well...

4) Chelsea has degrees from Stanford and Oxford...Academically, that puts her in an elite group...

5) I think the talk of her as a future pres is a bit far fetched if not premature...

13. That Was A Bad Choice Of Words
To me an elite person is someone who thinks he or she is better than others and has contempt for them...

14. Myself, Ive never thought of elite in a negative way.
Especially where it pertains to schools. Ivy league schools are elite. Nothing wrong with that, imho.

16. Drunken picture
http://kellyanncollins.com/2005/03/chelsea-clinton-no-stranger-to.html

Here it is. But its irrelevant, and you're right. But given their resumes and history in public service, i could argue one of the Bush daughters is just as qualified. (One of the Bushes graduated from Yale) Show me what on Chelsea's resume makes her so superior?

6. We shouldn't criticize the children of former Presidents.

So don't say anything bad about George H. W. Bush's children.

7. Maybe her mother will step aside in 2012 and let her have the seat
It would "prep her" and in 2016, she'd be 36 years old and thus eligible for the presidency.

11. She said she is not interested in the Presidency - besides -
which offspring of a high powered Repube can do what she is doing this well?
The Romney boys? Any of Bush 41's children? The Bush twins? The Hucksters f(r)at boy? All of those kids one has to hide.

I am very proud of the Democrats' children in general. Remember John Kerry's girls?

of those family performances on stages across the country. There are so many vectors of pain in that little family group.

30. I could care less about Chelsea
She is a grown woman and all this coddling of her is kind of weird. I know the right wing went after her when she was a child and that was wrong. She turned out to be a beautiful young lady but frankly that is all I can say about her.
