14. Np. I guess this puts Edwards close to the top of the list.
Johnson felt he was the best choice just a few years ago.

21. Except now we have a reference point on what Edwards was as a VP candidate
The only vetting that needs to be done for Edwards is the playback of the Edwards v. Cheney debate. That brings Edwards off the table very fast.

and he's not telling anyone anything more than that (that's the top secret part). That is all.

26. Well stop praying
All VP searches are top secret.

Kerry kept his search top secret until the guy who painted the plane leaked it ...

Bush's search in 2004 was top secret as well, so much so that we never knew who he interviewed.

It wasn't until after Al Gore announced Lieberman as his running mate that we found out that he also interviewed John Kerry and John Edwards.

29. He wants to appear to be moving forward without offending Hillary
Since NC/IN his focus has been McCain, anything said about Hillary has been positive. He wants to appear to the SDs and to Hillary that he's looking toward the primaries.

The "leak" of this "top secret" information is just more of the same.

Plus, he really does need to start looking toward the general, we're only a few months away.
