United Mine Workers to endorse Obama
The Associated Press has learned that the United Mine Workers of America will endorse Barack Obama for president.

``snip``

The Mine Workers union had originally endorsed former Senator John Edwards of North Carolina. But Edwards dropped out of the race earlier this year and threw his support to Obama.

The union includes coal miners, clean coal technicians, health care workers, truck drivers and school board employees. It has more than 86,000 members.

7. The United Mine Workers Union understand
better than hilary and the voters she lied to ..who is better for our country.

"UMWA International president Cecil E. Roberts, as quoted in the release:

"It doesn't matter whether it's our members' jobs, their safety, their health care, their pensions, their children's education, their union, their standard of living, or their very rights as American citizens--John McCain will do harm to all of them by continuing the failed Bush administration policies."
This is the second major union endorsement for Obama in the past week. Last Thursday, the United Steelworkers announced their support for Obama."
