3. I don't get it about Annie Oakley
I am old enough to have had an Annie Oakley board game when I was a little girl. Annie Oakley was COOL. She was tough. I admired her. How is that an insult?

8. Brandishing about like the cowboy, George Bush
He was essentially likening her behavior in that regard to * clearing his brush, but acting like a cowboy.

21. I also read it as meaning "fast to the trigger."
Which is good if you're an exhibition shooter. President? Not so much.

12. They're both ridiculous. The "shoulder brush" one is just laughable though.

7. The Geraldine F. types are what slowed down progress on feminine issues.
She has a problem with opening mouth before engaging brain. <sigh>

Isn't she old enough to fade into the sunset?

He pulled Hill's chair out for her before the beginning of one of their debates (I don't remember which one). What was he thinking.. like she couldn't pull out her own chair??? :eyes:

13. I only remember one thing from Geraldine Ferraro's debate with Daddy Bush
when they were VP candidates--her joking with this Bush Cartel scion about their "accountants." She was a millionaire. He was a billionaire. She wanted to join the B Club (boys' club, billionaires' club, take your pick). What was clear is that she didn't represent ME.

Money has no sex. It can corrupt one and all.

God, that was so-o-o-o disappointing! First women VP candidate with a chance of winning--and she sucks up to the Bush Cartel!

That was one my earliest eery feelings about something having gone very wrong inside our own Democratic party. (The Iran-Contra hearings also gave me the early willies about this--their letting Reagan off the hook.)

16. She seems very unstable
She reminds me of Dirty Harry, where Clint Eastwood's eye had a little twitch that let you know at any time he could go way off the deep end.

18. Proof that they're scraping the barrel to make the claims, but sadder still
that they actually have people buying it.

This is the type of non-issue bullshit, like Wright and like the disenfranchisement wedge, that distracts voters into making really stupid choices. The Bush team relied on dangling the bouncy ball of distraction to get the 2000 election close enough to steal and then waved gays, God and guns in front of the 'hardworking blue collar voters' to nab it in 2004.

23. Well now, perhaps the little lady was "feeling down"
"I understand that Senator Clinton, periodically when she's feeling down, launches attacks as a way of trying to boost her appeal" Barack Obama.

Or maybe it was just past her tea time...

"It's that experience, that understanding, not just of what world leaders I went and talked to in the ambassadors house I had tea with, but understanding the lives of the people like my grandmother who lives in a tiny hut in Africa," Obama, D-Ill., told a crowd of would-be voters in Coralville, Iowa, on Friday.

But really sometimes they can get a bit "catty"; can't they?

"You challenge the status quo and suddenly the claws come out," Obama said.

24. remember when HRC mocked BO with "the sky will open up..."
you didn't hear Obama's people CRYING about that! It's called POLITICS, Gerry. If Obama were saying the same thing about a male, then "Annie Oakly" would have been interchangeable with "Rambo", etc. Big f*cking deal!
