"Obama can't win" - guess what? Obama has 8 point lead over McCain
http://www.reuters.com/article/topNews/idUSN2034087120080521?feedType=RSS&feedName=topNews&rpc=22&sp=true

<snip>
Democrat Barack Obama has opened an 8-point national lead on Republican John McCain as the U.S. presidential rivals turn their focus to a general election race, according to a Reuters/Zogby poll released on Wednesday.

Obama, who was tied with McCain in a hypothetical head-to-head matchup last month, moved to a 48 percent to 40 percent lead over the Arizona senator in May as he took command of his grueling Democratic presidential duel with rival Hillary Clinton.
<snip>

You don't have to keep clinging to those lifeboats any more, folks. Hillary's lost, there's nothing she can do about it at this point, and Obama IS going to be our nominee. And as fucked up as the GOP is right now, after eight years of the most inept leadership in our history, there is NO fucking way that we should lose this year - regardless of who our nominee is.

5. She can't even win the nomination. What in the HELL makes you think she can win in November?
I'm just curious how you feel that she can do better than Obama, when she can't even win her party's nomination?

21. And, as quiet as it's kept, if Sen. Obama had actively campaigned
in WV and KY, her "big" wins wouldn't have been so big. She's going for the "popular" vote argument, and Obama's helping her. LOL!

He nailed the NC primary while others had It close and was the best when It came to Indiana.And
back In 2000 was one of the few pollsters at the end that had Gore ahead(we all know Gore won the
election)

10. Bush III can't win
Yup, hopefully that "albatross" you mention will be on board soon. On the other hand, McCain & Republicans in general will never be able to shed the disaster known as GWB (now at 23% approval). The "No third term for Bush" theme will be hammered home loud and clear between now and November.

9. OK.
Hilly is done. toast finished. And Obama is very electable in the General Election. The stupidest hillydroid line is the one that Obama has some deep dark secret that only the repukes know. Oh, and that should be "Obamas"- no apostrophe.

12. You seem like you're actually looking forward to that
Will you be supporting McCain in November? Will you vote for Obama?

Let the GOP bring their attack dogs. Let McCain contort himself into a snarling angry old man. People will see it for what it is - the desperate futile actions of a party that is woefully out of touch.

McCain represents more Bush policies. McCain represents more confrontation with Iraq, Iran, etc. Obama represents change. Obama represents a new course. People are fed up with the GOP.

14. Michele is an asset
Edited on Wed May-21-08 07:35 AM by Zambero
The RW character assassination squad routinely goes after a candidates' spouse, every time with no exceptions. Does that mean that we take their lead and sideline someone like Michele Obama? That is excactly what they seek. Michele is a thoughtful and articulate presence whose presence on the campaign trail will only help Obama. The wingnuts will continue to preach to their own choir. After all, what else do they have besides a failed presidency and no agenda other than "stay the course"?

19. Kentucky "vital"? It's a dark red state write-off
And WV has certainly been trending right in recent years. I'll gladly swap WV's (5?) electoral votes for larger states like Iowa, Virginia, or Colorado, where recent election results and demographic shifts favor progressive candidates.

After 9/11 and the collapse of the economy. Those states are not going to give Obama OR Clinton a chance.
