The pledge delegate race is over folks!

CNN has already given Obama 12 delegates. Here's Hillary's BEST CASE pledged delegate scenario without changing any rules!

1. The only way Hillary can win now is:
1. If she convinces the Supers to overturn the people, or
2. If she convinces the DNC to throw out the rules so she can win.

2. They are really giving this "popular vote" nonsense a go.
We have a primary system and rules. It's what we all agreed to in the beginning. It's the rules your husband won by. YOU are trying to change the rules as you go.

It's dinengenuous. It's intellectually dishonest. It's infuriating.

4. lol
But she can still win if she takes more than 100% of the vote in Puerto Rico.

6. Does she get a "bonus" delegate or 2 if she can get them to engineer that?

7. Only one problem with your numbers.
Edited on Tue May-20-08 09:17 PM by casus belli
Hillary is fighting to have Michigan seated as-is, ie no Delegates for Obama, and Florida wasn't 50/50.

But, given how generous you were with the remaining contests going to Hillary all-in I don't see the numbers being far off from what you have proposed here even if the numbers were modified to reflect her agenda for MI and FL. I'm just pointing it out before some of her more rabid supporters delcare it a farce.

8. I was noting that she can't win UNLESS she gets them to change the rules!
The rules have Michigan and Florida not counting, so with this best case scenario for her, she still comes up short. She's officially LOST the "democratic" vote for the nomination now. Now we'll see if there's a "Politburo" that wants to overturn that popular vote...

I don't think we've fallen that far off the democracy path to fascism yet, but who knows!

9. Even if you gave her what she is asking for...
the math doesn't work out. At this point you could give her exactly what she's asking for and she would still come up short once the final states are tallied. Though, I suspect if the 50/50 rule weren't enough to give her the win (which it clearly isn't) she'd be demanding that the votes stand as counted with 100% of them being seated (which she has already done).

It would be comical were it not apparently starting to create such deep rifts. She may be able to see where her end game is winding up, but for her supporters, she is giving them a false sense of hope when she uses phrases like "We're winning" when she clearly isn't. At this point, I'm not sure what to expect from her.
