In honor of Ted Kennedy, I have posted my last divisive post on DU.
Edited on Tue May-20-08 02:25 PM by Kristi1696
The nastiness in GD-P only works against what this great man and champion of this party has fought for his entire life.

I cannot, in good faith, contribute to the negativity any longer. That's it, I'm done. The Democratic Party is more important than this.

It's time to refocus the energy.

This is going to be a hard pledge to keep, but I'll do it.

If you'd like to join me, I'd love some company.

ETA: I love my fellow Democrats.

But I look forward to working with you as we move on to the general election.

TK is by far my favorite living Democrat. This seems a good, easy way to honor him.

32. I agree.
It seems the least I can do to honor him.

Working my ass off to get Obama and all those down-ticket Dems elected, is next, of course.

I've been sick the past couple of days and have been particularly nasty. This news just slapped me across the face, and rightfully so.

23. I agree entirely. Thank you.
Watching Senator Byrd breakdown was like a knife in my heart.

So, so sad. And some people think that our Democratic leaders don't pour their hearts and souls into their work...

It's time to unite. If it takes the bad news of Ted Kennedy's brain tumor to get there, then at least something good comes from it.

I tried earlier, but relapsed when I got this cold (and cranky). But this news is enough to get me off the junk for good. ;)

34. I know the cranky thing
You just have NO patience. But I'm tired of the negativity toward HRC and Obama. It's the same old nonsense that's said. I'm looking forward to Obama as our official nominee. I used to support HRC; I just got to a point where I turned the corner and am ready to move forward.

I'm into Republican attack mode now.

All I can say is, 'good luck,' for your sake and the Democratic party's.

And Good riddance to this poison that has overtaken so many Democrats.

19. There are more important things in life.
As someone else in this community said, Teddy is in for another REAL FIGHT. A fight for his life.

That really does put everything into perspective.

My heart is so heavy right now. There isn't any room for pettiness or bitterness or anger.

I'm just praying that our liberal lion can make it through with the quality of life he's enjoyed in his later years. We need him.

21. That was the post that inspired me to make this pledge.
A real fight indeed.

And imagine the burden that we'll all have to take on if our Lion can no longer fight for us? We need to come together for him.

:patriot: Ted Kennedy has done more for issues like Health Care ,than anyone in recent History! :patriot:

In return this is the least we can do for him! :pals:

I love DUers and I really hope we can do this! :grouphug:

Here are just a few examples of the great work Senator Kennedy has done --
Senator Kennedy Speaks at Children's Health Insurance Rally-

Ted Kennedy (D-MA) torches Senate Republicans on their opposition to a children's health-care program that would cost a fraction of what's being spent on the Iraq war.

part of the problem. I want to be part of the solution. It is much easier to fire back against verbal missiles, than it is to pause when agitated and let the cheap shot continue on, missing it's target...me.
