I think people confuse their opinion for Rove for what he is.

He is f'en brilliant at his job. Dems should wish they had someone like him working for Obama (or Clinton). I remember after the 2k election, he actually determined that about 4 million religious right voters sat out the election. I thought he was f'en insane to say that. At the time, that election had the most votes ever after several elections of declining voting. Yet, somehow he looked at the numbers and said something was missing. And according to 2004, he was correct.

I didn't hear anyone else, ever propose that. He got a president elected despite having a poor record. That is pretty impressive, even if we abhor the results.

YOu can think he is good at his job and still hate him. THe two aren't mutually exclusive..and I bet if we could get our hands on the left-wing Rove counterpart, we would be all over it.
