21. If the Democrats were smart and had nominated Joe Biden,
this race would be over, and I'm not just talking about the primaries. There would be no reason to even consider voting for McCain. And as an added bonus, we'd have us a great, fully-qualified, leader as our president. The Democrats appear to be jealous of the Republican's demise, because they are really turning off a lot of traditional Democrats. This entire country has turned off their thinking caps and are relying on their med-charged emotions.

35. yep, Biden was the stealth liberal who could have won by a landslide
One of the real experience candidates, would run the country the way and appoint people that most Democrats would want, and would have done very well with independents. But the media wanted their goddamn 3-way glamour horse race. I'm happiest with Obama out of the media's three, so as happy as I can be under the circumstances. Tried to let my wounds heal a while back.

Very interesting that Biden hasn't endorsed yet. (saw your other post on that too).

4. I wish the final two had been Obama and Edwards then maybe it would have been
a civilized race based on ideas. I know one thing Edwards never would have played the race card.

Failing that, Obama endorsing Edwards.

But that's not the way the cookie crumbled.

9. The Democrats would be looking a lot better right now.
Too bad Edwards isn't black. Too bad Democrats have made that a primary reason for choosing a candidate rather than the 2 most important reasons: electability and qualifications.

His apology for that vote struck me as sincere, and I think it actually did help.

28. It killed the Kerry campaign as well
or at least severely weakened it.

it just made him look like a flopper, and completely played into the GOP attack ads labeling him as such. they had a field day with the "I voted for it before I voted against it." the ads of Kerry uttering that statement were airing 24/7.

But thank god we now have a candidate in Obama who is completely immune to that kind of accusation.

14. So do I, but
At least with Edwards working with Obama now, he can keep the issues that he was pushing before he left the race, front and center. If he is any part of the Obama administration, he will be a great help in making the changes this country really needs!

muster if he gets through the GE. We have been saddled for too many years with a BUsh who required handling and direction, unfortunately by the worse crooks in USA history.

22. Change is awesome with Obama
But Edwards... would have enacted TRUE REFORM of this mess we find ourselfs in now.

My choices were in this order:

Gore
Kucinich
Dodd

Followed by:
Edwards
Biden
Obama
Clinton

24. In a way he did tonight on his plane flying to Chicago he said....
"I have no doubt that John Edwards can be extremely helpful to us campaigning in every demographic. But his passion and credibility when it comes to issues of poverty and the plight of working people in this country, I think, is a message that is powerful and one that fits with the kind of vision I have for America."

29. Yes he did...
and for that I am greatful.

I truly hope he gets a very POWERFUL position in this new administration.

I would think he would be either a great VP, Attorney General or Supreme Court Justice.

Actually, I would like to see him on the Supreme court above all others.
